Verification Guide

1. Purpose of Verification

WBO's verification mechanism is designed to maintain the integrity and transparency of the cognitive capability standards system. By establishing a publicly accessible and verifiable certification record structure, it ensures that certificates awarded through WBEO's standard procedures are traceable and consistent. The verification system confirms whether a certification record exists within the standards database and reflects its current status.

2. Scope of Records

The verification system currently covers certification records awarded through WBEO's standard procedures. It does not include assessment score details, training process records, private portfolio materials, or other activity information not entered into the standards database. The verification mechanism confirms the existence and current status of a certification record; it does not provide process-level data.

3. Verification Status Definitions

The system may display one of four statuses.

Record Confirmed — the certification record was awarded through standard procedures and is currently in a valid or recognized state.

Not Found — no corresponding certification record was located in the current standards database.

Suspended — the certification record has been temporarily placed on hold under specific circumstances.

Revoked — the certification record has been formally revoked due to a violation, lapse, or other organizational determination.

All statuses are produced in accordance with the organization's standard procedures and reflect the database record as it stands.

4. Data Integrity Principles

All certification records are generated and archived in accordance with established standard procedures. Once certification information has been issued through authorized processes, it enters the standards database and is maintained and updated by the organization. Any change in status requires confirmation through the organization's internal review and authorization procedures before it takes effect. The verification system reflects the actual state of the database at the time of query.

5. Limitations of Verification

Verification results are used solely to confirm whether a relevant certification record exists within the WBO / WBEO standards database. The verification mechanism does not constitute academic credentialing, government authorization, professional licensure, legal certification, or recognition of organizational governance standing. It does not substitute for the qualification determinations or regulatory functions of any other institution.

6. Dispute and Correction Procedures

Where a certification record is found to contain an information error or a status dispute arises, a written submission may be made through the organization's designated channel. Once the matter has been reviewed and confirmed, the relevant record will be corrected or updated in accordance with standard procedures. All dispute outcomes are determined by the organization's final review. For submission methods and handling procedures, please refer to the Review, Appeals & Data Requests Policy.
